Getting started
Install and activate ClipVault

Use a supported browser
The supplied manifest sets Google Chrome 109 as the minimum supported version.

Install the extension
Use the final extension-store link when it is published. For development builds, load the unpacked extension from Chrome’s Extensions page.

Complete the secure checkout
Complete checkout, then copy the license key supplied after checkout.

Activate in ClipVault
Open the popup or Settings, paste the full key, and choose Activate License.

Troubleshooting
If a copied item does not appear
Check whether recording is paused
The popup and dashboard show Recording or Paused. Resume now, or wait for the selected pause period to end.
Check the active workspace
A clip is saved to the active workspace. Switch back to Personal or the workspace that was active when you copied it.
Review the site blacklist
ClipVault ignores blacklisted domains. The shipped defaults include PayPal, bank, Stripe, Venmo, and Chase domains, and you can edit the list.
Check Incognito behavior
Incognito capture is disabled by default. Both Chrome extension access and ClipVault’s Allow Incognito setting must permit it.
Understand duplicate handling
Merge mode increments the existing record, Keep creates another item, and Ignore discards a normalized duplicate.

Common workflows
Find a clip
Search content or domains, use a type view, and sort by newest, oldest, most copied, alphabetical, largest, or smallest.
Organize a clip
Move clips to folders, create a workspace for a separate context, or mark important records as pinned or favorite.
Transform text
Open Text Tools to clean, convert, escape, replace, deduplicate, extract, save a derived clip, or replace with version history.
Build a queue
Select clips, add them to Sequential Queue, order them, choose an end behavior, and explicitly start sequential paste mode.
Live Share
Connect two ClipVault installations
Select up to 500 text clips with a combined limit of 5 MB, create a sender code, open it on the recipient, return the response code, review the incoming manifest, and accept. Both tabs must remain open during the five-minute session.
Direct WebRTC uses public Google STUN servers. On restrictive networks, configure and test the same TURN relay on both devices. Relay credentials remain in that browser’s settings.
Purchase & license
License activation help
ClipVault is locked until a valid license key for the configured ClipVault Lifetime benefit is validated. The extension can validate directly or reserve a device activation when required.
Paste the complete license key without extra spaces.
Connect to the internet for first activation and periodic validation.
If the device limit is reached, deactivate an older device in your license portal.
Temporary validation-service errors can use the verified seven-day offline grace period after a successful validation.

Control what ClipVault keeps
Use pause controls, the domain blacklist, Incognito opt-in, sensitive-text detection, optional automatic blur, analytics exclusions, Auto Cleanup, Trash, Clear All Clips, Reset Analytics, and license deactivation.
